The Lifeful Therapies Team provide Positive Behaviour Support and Counselling Services to help enhance an individual’s quality of life and reduce challenging behaviours. Our services also help families and support networks respond more effectively to individuals who display these behaviours.

Our highly qualified and experienced therapies team comprise a wealth of knowledge from their time in the sector working with multiple and complex needs participants, having focused on the provision of supports to people with disability, children, youth and families.

What Is Positive Behaviour Support ?

Positive Behaviour Support is a framework for providing individualised, evidence-​based strategies to reduce challenging behaviours and increase socially relevant behaviours. Lifeful proudly offers support that is person-​centred and goal-​focused. Our compassionate staff are qualified in Counselling, Social Science, Forensic Science and Psychology, and have undertaken specialised training in Applied Behavioural Analysis. 

How is Positive Behaviour Support Funded ?

Whilst all Lifeful Therapies Services can be privately funded, NDIS participants can have their supports funded in the NDIS Management Plan. When included in the plan, funding comes from the Capacity Building Support budgets, and falls under Improved Relationships or Improved Daily Living. Lifeful is a registered and accredited provider.

Rebecca Lillingston — Ballarat, Vic

Rebecca is Lifeful’s Executive Director, Therapies. Rebecca has some 20+ years of experience with multiple and complex needs, having focused on the provision of Specialist Behaviour Support to people with disability, children, youth and families.

Rebecca specialises in Human Relations and Sexuality Education Programs, with training in conducting the Assessment of Sexual Knowledge.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology degree and a Master of Teaching. Having trained in Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis Rebecca is authorised to report on the use of Restrictive Practices and approaches to reducing or ceasing restrictive responses to behaviours of concern.

Amaya Bel – Gold Coast, QLD

Amaya has worked with young people in care and families with complex care needs in the disability sector for the past 5 years. She has worked as a support worker, managed staff in residential facilities, a Counsellor, an ABA Therapist and Behaviour Therapist.

Amaya specialises in young people and children with ASD, developmental delay, trauma and psychosocial disability. She has training in trauma informed care — working with complex trauma, therapeutic crisis intervention, fundamental skills in positive behaviour support and restrictive practices. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Counselling and Coaching, a diploma in Counselling and a Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention.

Emily Luke — Endeavour Hills, VIC

Emily has a passion for her work with clients and families with complex care needs in the disability space. Emily has engaged in more than 8 years experience in management and human relations overseeing and training an array of different cultural and diverse backgrounds. She has training in Acquired Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia Care, Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices.

Emily specialises in Dementia Care and co-​morbidity of behaviours associated with this diagnosis.

She holds a Bachelor of Psychology and is currently completing a Masters Degree in Applied Behavioural Analysis, working toward becoming a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
